I've bought off ebay and direct.  Turned out buying off ebay was buying direct too

Just a little update, as not much has been happening since KKITP.

I got round to fixing my drivers window which was getting stuck and also fixed a headlight bulb that was out.

Bought an Apexi cone air filter and adaptor and also a 3" to 2" reducer

The difference it has made to the car is wonderful.

I now have a turbo fluttering noise on boost   It is running a lot smoother, the boost controller has stopped making ticking noises and my petrol seems to be lasting a bit longer.

Off to the garage next week to fit the clutch and do a few other bits, maybe get the intercooler pipes welded up

Off to the garage I went yesterday morning to finally fit my new Black Diamond clutch

Up on the ramp getting ready for gearbox removal

Gearbox off

Old Clutch

Old and New Rear Crank Shaft Oil Seal

Unfortunately no pictures of the new clutch fitted, sorry

I did manage to get an air filter heat shield

Also managed to fix an issue with my windows and did an oil and filter change.

All in all a very productive day indeed

Your engine bay is nearly as vibrant as mine will be I got red bits, black bits, blue bits, shiny bits, matte bits etc etc! I did want white and purple... Maybe in the next off-season if I do a rebuild I'll sort the colours then!

I'll be interested in what the issue you had today was caused by!

It annoys me having loads of different colours, but it will be all red and black at some point, lol

I think the problem is the dizzy or rotor arm but haven't had 100% confirmation on that yet.  Ive just parked it up and left it until I can get round to having a good old look

My neighbour see it happen out her window, ran down by which time the woman had parked up the road.  She got out her car and see my neighbour clocking her and came back to give her door number and car registration.

So she could possibly have tried it had my neighbour not seen it all happen.

It really mucks your insurance up even if its not your fault  You maybe better putting it through a no fault claims company.

Woman drivers

Seriously though I hope it all works out OK.

On the carbon fibre note look at this:
http://www.pitstopdesigns.co.uk/index.htm
They can paint anything in a carbon fibre finish I think.

Also bought a gear and hand brake gaiter from ebay about £25.00 i think, thought Id give it a go as my 'home made' Bride one was falling apart.

I chose black with red stitching but you can have all different combinations.

Looks the part and the quality is good

Shame to see someone had bumped her, I had that in my cappuccino, guy reversing and couldn't see me because he was in a 4x4. I've got a spare bonnet sitting if you need one. I think a new cappuccino bonnets from suzuki that I priced was £548 +vat... Not cheap....(think it might actually  have been more)

Down the garage last week for a couple of checks, as she still wasn't running right ;(

We decided it was time to change the rocker cover gaskets as oil was seeping through and I believe it was dripping down into the spark plugs and also dripping onto my new clutch

Also put a new Walbro fuel pump in as I wasn't happy with the second hand unit I put in the other week.

Only took a couple of photos unfortunately.

not to sound picky but don't you think there is a bit too much kink with the rubber fuel hose? bending the metal pipe back should reduce that a bit
