Hi
I dont know if i've asked this before but i'm wondering what the ecu actually uses in the engine bay and what can be removed or ignored.
For example the EGR valve and connections, does the ECU use this, ideally i want it permanently closed. All the other pipework and emmision control crap at the rear of the intake, i assume i need the idle control solenoid but is there anything else in that area that i can remove.
I'd like to start making the engine bay less cluttered if possible so i can have space for more performance / bling crap. |

Ive run the car for a few days with the only external input/sensor being the map. Was running no tps/idle or even oxygen sensor. Dodnt work as well as when everything was connected but point is it still worked (Idle control was my foot )
So pretty much, unless you see a use in it, take it out =] |

Personally I'd leave whatever the standard car needs to run at least for a little bit. Being able to simply plug in the old ecu can be helpful to pinpoint any problems if they can't be immediately diagnosed via the adaptronic. ie poor grounds, dead ignitors etc.
That being said weight only slows you down |
