mine is at the top of the decat, just after the turbo outlet, more or less the original position, and I don't get any temp probs |

Thats what i thought regarding placement, as near to the original position and directly instream of the turbo's exit for the most accurate reading any further downstream and i thought your effectively adding a delay. |

Kei, have you thought about getting an EGT probe ? It might be a good idea to make sure your expensive engine is safe on this side.
As you've got an LC-1, you could take the TC-4 from Innovate as well so you can chain them and connect both to the Adaptronic serial port. Only trouble: you'll need to plug a PC and do some logging if you wanna see the EGT. Or you could plug the TC-4 to another gauge so you can read it in real time. |

Paolo --- Yes it's the same size
Ricou --- would i need to fit another sensor to the downpipe? if so its a bit tight for space now
Grant --- cheers for that, yep i have changed a lot of settings, using Ricou's and don's files as comparison and using your file as a base, i also had to calibrate the water sensor as the readings were about 10c out at some points. I'll give the new files a try in an hour or so again many thanks. |

Yeah, it would need another sensor in the downpipe, or maybe you could replace the somehow useless thermal sensor that is at the botom of the catalyst by a sensor the TC-4 can use. |

I have a decat pipe now so have no thermal sensor thingy
Anyway i've tried the file Grant sent and blow me it started straight away, cheers grant. Now though, i've noticed it awkward to re-start when warm which i presume can be fixed by a simple setting tweak. If i turn the car off and then restart her she'll start lumpy idling at 700 unless i touch the throttle, sometimes she'll stall if i don't feather the throttle and sometimes she wont and after about 5 seconds raises upto 1100 and runs fine. I assume there must be something that tells the ecu to stay in cranking mode for those 5 seconds that i need to shorten, am i correct?
She also has got the throttle hesitancy problem again. Grant i notice you setup the MAP prediction and had that box ticked which i'm using now could this need fine tuning for my car?
And finally i've had no more heat errors come from my LC-1 but i did notice on slow converge it did spike injector timing under heavy load at 5000 for about 16ms, i think bigger injectors maybe needed. There's a set on ebay i'm bidding on which are perfect so unless someone else outbids me in the next week, i think i'll get them fitted.
Will then just need a better cooler and i will have a stage 3 |

Good news kei,
On the idle tab increase your minimum effort (top left hand corner) by 5 or 10 for the moment and then put about 300 to 500 miles on her in slow converge self learning mode to sort out your fuel map. This will go a long way to sorting the flat spot and idle problem.
Make sure you unmark any cells in the No.1 fuel map as tuned first and dont change anything else yet.
What do you mean, of course it started |

Kei, about the warm start, I think it could be the "short post crank enrichment" but I haven't tried and it is probably needed for cold starting. |
