I have a problem when I reach 5000 rpm and above the respons disapears so l have to press the Throttle to the bottom to gain response. Below 5000 rpm the engine has the normal response. I still drive in slow learning. What can be done to solve this issue? Can it be the TPS not sensing its possition? Appreciate all help I can get. |

You can check what the TPS is sensing with WARI or the F2 & F11 screen in the program. I had a similar thing a couple of months ago and found it was one of the hoses that only leaked after I got to about 1.1 bar boost. |

The TPS is sensing and on idle it start at 60% and goes up to 89% at full throttle on F2 and F11 its an other scale and it moves according to the throttle position so the TPS seems to be ok. I have to check for leaks.

You should check your throttle position sensor on the intake manifold is secure, and then, with the engine off but ignition on, go to Wari, tab "Analog Cals / Tuning Mode", section "TPS Calibration" :
- throttle off, press the "Learn" button next to 0% - full throttle, press the "Learn" button next to 100%
Then check with F2 that it's going from 0% to 100%.
But just in case this strange calibration (60 to 89%) is intended, write down the "ADC reading" values before you do that so you can go back by entering them again if it drives worse. |

Thanks,
I have now done TPS calibration and by this my bleed valve also got silent. I will do a test drive tomorrow and see how it works out. On Thursday its Track day so after that I will be back with my progress. |

It worked so so! The power delivery is more smooth but can't rew over 6200rpm, when reaching 6200rpm it's like if a rew cut kicks in. On the Track this was not a problem as I have the std Turbo still in place and on the straight i just reach 6000rpm before braking, this was on Thursday.
Took a spin yesterday and suddenly the max rew dropped to 5k and on in 1k steps to 2k on a 0,5 mile drive?! I succeeded to get home. The engine sounded as if it's on only two cylinders.
At home it I checked the spark plugs and tested with other Spark plug cables without any progress. I have also tested with earlier working SW, without success.
Any Idea what it can be? I will switch back to std Engine control unit to see if its something with the Adaptronic.

Now it runs on all 3 cyl, one of the plug caps was not properly in place. Still does not Rew above 6,5k! |

Now I got it all sorted out. The tuning map looked strange so I changed a lot of values to get a more harmonised setting between compared with the lower rev setting that works fine. When I downloded the file to the ECU it was changed a bit, I guess this is the smart part of Adaptronic that sort things out for you. I tried it today and it turned out to work great. It rews without any problem above 8500 rpm. |

Good to read your sorted it out.
Be careful when fiddling with the tuning maps though, if the fuelling or the ignition isn't right on high load areas it could kill you engine. |

Agree with that, one of my main failiures was from having the adaptronic setup badly and then using it on a sprint day. |

I think you can do some settings if you know what to do and are using slow coverage and drive with sense. I have now been driving 900 miles with this set up and in slow coverage mode and it work perfect.
I have also been on a full track day with the Lotus Club of Sweden without any problem. The Track day event was 200 mile from home so the 400 mile drive was at 50,7MPG, not bad. On the Track day I got 21.7MPG. |
