As an ex servicewomen & my hubby still serving.....SIGNED! Makes you laugh when you read that the objections are
|
Quoted Text |
|
They claimed 'additional noise' and 'huge amount of additional traffic' would ruin the peace of the private lane and warned that the value of their multi-million-pound properties would plummet.
The families 'would not be welcome', they said, and their arrival could 'destroy the character' of the area
|
|
But it's ok for our servicemen to be maimed so long as it doesn't interfer with them!!
Nice to see patriotism is dead !!!!!
Arrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh |

The truth is somewhat different to the way the objectioners tell it isn't it. |

Well well... As it happens I know that chap Malcolm Webb quoted in the Daily Mail.. He's the boss of Oil and Gas UK that represents the interests of the big oil companies in the UK.... He's a complete tosspot... This will do him no good at all ..

I came in on this story half way through on the news the other night: as I'd missed the very beginning, and just heard about the rejections, I assumed they were referring to a re-hab clinic, young offenders site, asylum seekers hostel or something.
Couldn't quite believe what it actually was. Still, it's worked out O.K. by the sound of it: unamnimous vote in favour, plus the objecting locals very much shown up as the sort of people they are.
May they slowly rot in hell .... |

My God it's tragic is it not. It's the guys stuck in Afghanistan that I feel for. Those Taliban fighters are real tough cookies - ask any Russian! |

and it's not getting any easier for our lads in either place. In Afganistan they know they will be shot at !!! In Iraq they are peace keeping and don't expect it !!! Which is the worst tour of duty? Bring our lads home |
